I just wanted to pass on to all a review of Firehouse Expo 2011 while the event is still fresh in my mind. As always, it sure is great to have seen members of Executive Board and Founding Members. As well as have an opportunity to spend time talking with all of you. Talking with fellow F.O.O.L.S. from around North America is always another highlight of the Expo. On the whole we had a pretty good show this year. As you know we didn’t host the bash this year due to the issue of not finding a venue that would support us without taking advantage of us. Hopefully by next year’s show we will have found a partner, or have an alternative event to get the Brotherhood together. Our 2011 challenge coins did not arrive in time for the show. Despite that, the attendees purchased enough t-shirts, and raffle tickets in sufficient quantity to put us in the black for the entire event. Next year we hope to capitalize on this year’s cooperation with the Baltimore Orioles organization, and Fire House Expo to expand our fundraising efforts. We are hoping to add a F.O.O.L.S. section to the Orioles game at Expo 2012. We continue to work behind the scenes to establish new contacts, and cement previous relationships. As in the past, members of other Chapters that have helped us, as well as newer forming Chapters offered their help this year. True to the traditions of the Brotherhood, they were disappointed when we had to turn down their assistance due to a lack of work. As always, our success was at the generosity of the Fire Service, Fire House Magazine, and Vendors.
